I had a post all typed up, ready to post and then the pediatrics team came in for their daily chat. Before 10:30 this morning, we knew we were going home on April 11 - yes, the full 4 week stay. The plastic surgeon convinced everyone this would be best. Well, today's news brought a different story. Again. Case management is reviewing Abby's case and will be speaking with plastics to see if the in-patient stay can be justified for the full 4 weeks, where we're just hanging out waiting for her to recover. Again. Hopefully this will be the last group to confront the plastic surgeon and ask for leniency on the discharge date. We'll see how successful they are! We should be notified this afternoon what they decide on.
